Planting churches - Going on an adventure
Establishing new churches is not easy and until recently there has been little emphasis on rural church planting. This is starting to change.
Aubrey Malphurs in his book "Planting and Growing Churches" wrote:
"Church
planting is an exhausting adventure of faith that involves the planned process of beginning and growing new local churches based on Jesus' promise, and in obedience to his great commission."
Rural Ministries' desire is to see hundreds of new churches that are:
• Christ Centred
• Mission Driven
• Bible Confident
• Sustainable
• Led by accountable leaders
Growing churches - Continuing the adventure
One of the things that you notice about living organisms is that they are designed to grow. If they are not growing, something is wrong. Identifying and attending to any hindrances to growth is essential. Growth always involves change and at times this can be painful. While some established churches may be renewed, others find the transition too painful or too difficult and will not survive. Seeking help at an early stage must be advisable. Rural Ministries' staff are currently available to lead interactive sessions on:
• Assessing the health of you church.
• Could your church plant a church?
• Caring for your Pastor/Church leaders
