Pastor

The present pastor is due to retire in 2012 so the church is looking for a new part time pastor from the middle of 2012.

Situated 5 miles from Ipswich the church is a member of the Baptist Union and uses a number of activities in its outreach to the community (including hosting the village Post Office).

Located in an arable farming area with all the facilities of a larger community than its 800 inhabitants, the church is in a prime position to reach out to other nearby villages.

Ideally the person appointed will have experience of ministering to a rural community and there is a need to reach the young people and families of the area. A focus of the role will be developing an effective outreach programme based on new and existing initiatives.

The church vision is to build a church delivering a strong Christian witness to the village and surrounding communities.
