
Competition Rules
- Churches must be based in a rural location (community of less than 10,000 inhabitants).
- Activity must be outreach into the immediate community or up to a distance of 5 miles from the church premises.
- The activity must be completely new and not part of the church’s present activities.
- The grant cannot be used to support any outreach initiative already taking place.
- The grant cannot be used to pay salaries.
- The grant cannot be used to pay rent on and/or for maintenance of a property.
- Entries will be judged under the following criteria:- Enterprising, imaginative, impact on the community and ability to share the gospel.
- Each submission to be accompanied by a cost breakdown showing how the grant will be used.
- Three grants will be awarded up to a value of £3,000.00 each.
- Rural Ministries reserve the right to award any number of grants to a maximum of 3.
- Rural Ministries reserve the right not to award any grants, at the discretion of the judges, should the submissions not be up to a standard deemed to meet the criteria of entry.
- Entries will be judged by a group made up of Rural Ministries staff and trustees.
- Judges decision is final.
- Closing date for submission is 1st March 2012.
- All entries to be sent to Rural Ministries, Wellingborough Innovation Centre, Church Street, Wellingborough NN8 4PD. Entries can be submitted by email to office@ruralministries.org.uk but Rural Ministries cannot be held responsible for their non arrival.
- Any submissions received after the closing date will not be considered.
- Grant must be used within 12 months of being awarded.
- If successful there will be a requirement to do a short presentation at the commemorative lunch on 23rd June 2012.
- Rural Ministries have the right to use any ideas submitted for publicity and promotion purposes be that on its website, printed literature or twice yearly magazine.
