This is a free conference focusing on enabling Christians in rural congregations to reach their communities through mission and the re-imagining of their churches and chapels.
The programme for the day will include brief talks from rural churches featuring re-ordering your church; lay led ministry and how to engage your communities in developing your plans.
To earth all this information, the afternoon will be spent working in groups on a case study of a Norfolk church which faces the problem of a large, cold building, supported by a tiny congregation, set within a medium sized village.
Contributions will also come from the Arthur Rank Centre and Rural Ministries.
The conference is being organised by Dreams and Visions, the local expression of a national charity. The ambition of the conference is to inspire and release hope; to share best practice; network and pray. The aim is that participants will leave with actions they can take forward.
There is no charge for the day, which will include all refreshments, including lunch. For further information and a booking form, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone: 01603 662538. Maximum 50 places.
